This is the story of Wally Beer who very cleverly built a drive-in theatre using his ingenuity. He made the screen, which still stands in 2019, made the speaker posts, junction boxes and even the speakers! Their former house doubled as the snack bar. Grantville traded on for many years but is now a housing estate with the projection building, snack bar, ticket box and entrance sign all long gone.
